Part- Time Janitorial Staff

JOB SUMMARY
: Under the general supervision of the Manager of Building Services, the Building Services part time staff has the primary responsibility of cleaning the facility and grounds in such a way as to promote a healthy and safe environment for employees, vendors and patrons of the Kentucky Center. The Building Services part time Staff is responsible for adhering to industry standards and for assuring spaces are kept clean and sanitary.

• Performs all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures and maintains workstation in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by The Kentucky Center.

COLLABORATION:  
• Assists the Building Service Shift Manager in enforcing the policies and regulations of the Kentucky Center for the Arts as they relate to the Building Services Department.
• Coordinates with evening shift staff regarding event set-up, larger projects, and other jointly performed tasks.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Summary

The Security Guard assist the Security Supervisor’s and Managers in enforcing the policies and regulations of the Kentucky Center managed properties, and provides the best quality of Security & customer service for the property, patrons and Performers.

  • Remains on duty until replacement staff arrives to pass along all special instructions or information.
  • To aid in obtaining professional assistance (Police, Fire, EMS) in accordance with local procedures in the event of injury or illness of employees or patrons within Kentucky Center managed properties.
  • Performs such other services as may be necessary in the event of situations or occurrences such as civil disturbances which could adversely affect the security and/or safety of the Center, employees, property and the general public lawfully in or on Kentucky Center managed properties.
Resource Management

Manages resources such as time, expenses, supplies, labor etc.

  • Familiar with all equipment hooked to the Edwards Fire System located in the security office, including the ability to deal competently and in a timely manner with smoke alarms, hold-up alarms, etc., and knowing the correct procedures to follow on the fire system.
  • Maintains and has all necessary equipment such as keys, flashlight, radio ear piece prior to starting a patrol.
  • Documents any incident of theft, employee misconduct, injury or vandalism by way of an incident report.
  • Patrols corridors, stairwells and lobby areas inside the Kentucky Center and, as directed, entrances and peripheral boundaries of the property, filling out security checklist and maintaining lock up schedules.
  • Logs all incoming packages and mail received during and after normal working hours, including the verification of the received goods before signing for them. Delivering them to the proper location, and keeping the required documentation.
  • Knowledge of all stairways and doors and Security dept. designation for those areas.
  • Locations of all fire and emergency exits.
  • Knowledge of stocks and/or materials of where stored on various floors and in various rooms and closets.
  • Location of all fire alarm panels.
  • Locations of all emergency fire-fighting equipment.
  • Locations of fire standpipe lines, fire hydrants and hose reels.
  • Locations of all valves controlling the supply of water to the sprinkler system and the location of extra sprinkler heads.
Communication

  • Observes and report in writing to Engineering personnel any irregularities or malfunctions in equipment operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees Front of House operations for a given area during assigned Kentucky Center events. 
• Seats patrons, enforces Kentucky Center rules, and identifies and solves problems as     they occur.
• Informs House Manager of the details of the event for inclusion in the House Report.
• Carries out duties as assigned per event including but not limited to: 
    Supervising a staff of Volunteers.
    Volunteer check-in and check-out.
    Supervision of program stuffing and distribution.
    Briefing of Volunteers regarding performance/event information, placement, and              emergency procedures.
   Observing and responding to patron comments.
   Provides emergency assistance to patrons as needed.
   Provides written documentation of Volunteer performance, incidents, etc. during           
   assignment.
   Being available to Volunteers and patrons before, during and after performances to   
   answer questions and assist as needed.
• Acts as a liaison between renters and Kentucky Center staff during events in the absence of a House Manager or House Services Manager.
• Assists the House Manager using established procedures during any emergency situation.
• Attends monthly departmental staff meetings and mandatory KC workshops, and maintains regular established standards of communication with House Management Office.
• Understands, and is accountable to all departmental standards, procedures and policies.
• Accurately and completely fill out department forms in accordance with company policy.
• May be required to train new House and Floor Managers as needed.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists the House Manager as requested during non-emergency situations.
• Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
• The employee must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.

• Prior experience in audience services, customer services, retail, sales, hospitality services or client relations preferred.
• Must attend Kentucky Center provided AED/CPR Certification classes, when courses are made available (Every two years).

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will support the VP of Marketing & Communications and workflow of the Marketing department via project management, research, public relations/social media, etc. They track the flow of projects from initial discussions, tracks all tasks through project management software, ensures all assets are available, manages competing deadlines and assists staff in task completion, paying attention to maintain KC brand standards. In addition, provides research and analytics for digital and social media campaigns as well as communications and PR efforts. Must work well across departments, and understand differing needs in different channels. The Marketing Manager has a good sense of marketing and have strong writing abilities, and thinks long-term and turn strategies and initiatives into actionable tasks.
